I paint like I see the world, in full technicolor
I’ve claimed the “artist” title for far less time than I’ve actually painted. The more I look back, the more I realize that creativity and design have always been my greatest Flair. Pictured above is my first painting in 2009 and another from 2022.
Artist Statement
This form of expression has always felt natural for me. Which is funny considering I’ve never actually had an art class or learned any formal technique. At least nothing outside of the required elementary school lesson. The most useful thing I picked up then was how to trace a photo and transfer it onto another surface. I actually used this technique recently, and found myself wishing they offered more fine art education throughout my school years. Still, it didn’t stop me from teaching myself. I learned before Youtube lessons were available and still somehow, year by year, I picked up more useful skills through dedicated practice. Some of my pieces can be seen below, but many will remain in a private collection as several were sold before I learned to take quality photos of them.
I hope you enjoy a look through what can be seen of my work. Check back often, as I plan to post new pieces here even after they’ve sold on Etsy.
